DCCEEW are beginning to ramp up work on the nature repair market and are seeking experts to apply for the Biodiversity Assessment Expert Reference Group.

The opportunity states:

We are seeking applicants with extensive experience, knowledge and standing in at least one of the following fields:

First Nations management of Country
terrestrial, freshwater and/or marine ecology and biology
terrestrial, freshwater and/or marine ecological communities/ecosystems
invasive pathogens, flora and/or fauna
fire ecology and disturbance
ecological modelling
landscape ecology
biodiversity monitoring
conservation, restoration and management
on-ground restoration and management
environmental standards and reporting
environmental economics and finance

Hi @julielindner - I'm not sure what you've experienced sorry. ACT EPD are the largest and most proactive supporter of NatureMapr. Not only financially, but also in terms of embracing and promoting use of the platform and the surrounding community.

Without them, we wouldn't be writing this comment and there wouldn't be a NatureMapr.

We have many ACT EPD officers identified with the blue "verified government officer" tick who are participating and interacting with the NatureMapr community. They are putting themselves out there and being transparent. If you know of any particular neglected areas or incursions, definitely report a sighting and even tag @ACTBioSecurity - the guys will be alerted and will be able to triage whether or not they can allocate resources to the site(s).

If you send me your email address, I will provide you with what I am so upset about. I have written to every Environment Minister since 2003 and nothing has been done to stop the tragic loss of biodiversity in my surrounding nature reserves. It just gets worse every year.

I was advised by the Conservator of Flora and Fauna to contact biosecurity about weeds that should be controlled under legislation which I did but got no reply!
